On behalf of the seniors who attend the Roanoke and Southlake Senior Center, and over 50 homebound seniors in the Keller, Trophy Club and Southlake area, I would like to thank all of you who donated to Metroport Meals On Wheels. Over the past 4 months you have helped us provide fresh vegetables, fruit and baked items to our seniors. I personally delivered the majority of the items and can’t begin to tell you how much this act of kindness meant to our participants. My children and I delivered turnips to one of our seniors and where touched with the conversation we had with her; she taught us how to cook a turnip. She passed away only a couple of weeks later and I will always remember how excited she was to share her knowledge with my kids and myself. Thank you for brings smiles and joy to so many.
